Lucille Pead

Lucille Pead was born in Malaysia and came to Australia in the 1980’s to further her education. She has a post graduate degree in Management and spent many years in the corporate world. She was employed at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu (one of the big 4 accounting firms) until 2003 when she went on maternity leave to have her first child.
She never returned to a corporate position and has been managing a successful antiques and collectables retail store – Lucilles Interesting Collectables ever since, with her husband Darren. Lucille had her second child in 2007 and now manages a busy schedule of 2 children under 5, with her successful business.
Darren Pead spent 17 years with Woolworths Limited, straight out of school. He held numerous management positions with the supermarket division, with his last position being National Project Manager until 2004.
In 2004, Darren teamed up with his wife, Lucille, to open their own Antiques and collectables business – Lucilles Interesting Collectables Antiques & Collectables online store.
In 2007, Darren launched a new retail business – Guy Stuff. This is a unique gifts and collectables shop for men. Darren plans to further expand the Guy Stuff business over the coming years, using the vast retail experience gained from his previous employment.
In addition Darren writes regular collectables articles for Australian Country Collection Magazine and has contributed to Carters Antiques & Collectables price guides.
